Live & Online International Conference 25 & 26 March 2025. (Workshops 24 & 27)
We began our research campaign especially early – nearly a full 12 months - to engage with brand-new water utilities, which require more time and effort but promise significant rewards for the final event.
Our goal is to elevate the benchmarking process for water utilities and to provide even greater business development opportunities for the vendor community. Ultimately, these elements combined together contribute to creating an outstanding conference experience.
With just 25 research calls so far, we've already gathered enough content to fill three days of the conference. Some participants have expressed a preference for a three-day event, while others, especially senior executives, find even two days away from the office challenging. We’ll keep you updated on the final format as our research progresses. This year, we are committed to ensuring a dynamic and fresh lineup of case studies. While repeat speakers have their value, our focus is on bringing more new voices to the stage. We understand that if you're investing time away from the office, you want to hear from new speakers, and vendors are eager for fresh conversations with new companies. Our mission is to strike a balance between offering diverse, relevant content without becoming too eclectic.
We’re looking to include more case studies from North America and Asia, recognising the common challenges that urban areas face globally, from Nigeria to Bangkok, in balancing demand and supply through smart water metering.
Whether the final agenda spans two or three days, we’re committed to structuring it in a way that maximises value for all attendees. We’ll divide the conference into strategy-focused days aimed at senior executives exploring business cases, ROI, and benefits, and technical days for those focused on integrating systems and data analytics. Engaging speakers who can address these varied topics—from strategy to customer engagement, technical integration, and data analytics—is our top priority. The final agenda will be released during October 2024.
Emphasising Workshops and Cybersecurity
Workshops will play a crucial role, with at least four planned sessions. Unsurprisingly, cybersecurity will be a major focus, but we are still discussing with industry experts whether to approach it as an introductory session or a more advanced discussion. We will keep you updated on the final outcome, subject to market feedback.
We extend our deepest thanks to all the water utilities that have provided invaluable input this year, helping us take this smart metering initiative to the next level. Your enthusiasm for smart water metering is evident, and we look forward to rising to the challenge of delivering an exceptionally valuable event in 2025.
